Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create a wedding website — including your names, wedding date, venue, guest list details, photographs, and payment details. We collect limited technical information (browser, device, IP address) to keep the service running and secure.

How we use your information

We use your information to build and host your wedding website, deliver SMS invitations to guests you nominate, process payments, communicate with you about your account, and improve Our Date. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Guests you invite

Contact details you provide for your guests are used only to deliver invitations and RSVP reminders on your behalf. Guest data is deleted 12 months after your wedding, or earlier if you request.

Storage and security

Data is stored on servers hosted in Australia. We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect it. No system is perfectly secure — please contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to or correction of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@ourdate.au. If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us; unresolved complaints may be referred to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
