Legal
Refund policy.
This policy explains how refunds work at Our Date, operated by Our Date Pty Ltd. It sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which it does not limit.
Before your website is published
Change your mind before you publish and we will refund you in full, no questions asked, within 14 days of purchase. Email us and we will process it back to the card you paid with. Everything you build stays in your dashboard as a draft in the meantime, so you can pay later if you change your mind again.
After your website is published
Once your website is live it has been delivered, so change-of-mind refunds no longer apply. The one-time fee is AU$99, GST included. If something is wrong with what we delivered we will still make it right: tell us what happened and we will fix it, or refund you where the Australian Consumer Law says we should.
Your rights that we cannot exclude
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the problem is not major, you are entitled to have it fixed in a reasonable time, and if that does not happen you may cancel and get a refund for the unused part of the service.
A major failure includes a service that is substantially unfit for its purpose, or one that cannot be used as we described and cannot be fixed easily and quickly. A wedding website that will not load for your guests is a major failure; a template you have decided you no longer like is not.
If you are buying from outside Australia, you may also have rights under the consumer laws of your own country, and nothing in this policy limits them.
Add-ons and bundles
SMS credit packs are refundable while unused. Guest photos, on either tier, is refundable until a guest has shared a photo or you have downloaded the files. If you paid the difference to move from Guest photos to Guest photos unlimited, that upgrade is refundable on the same basis. Bundles are refunded on the same basis as the products inside them, so anything already published, already shared or already downloaded is treated as delivered.
Extensions
If you extend your website for another year and change your mind within 14 days, and nothing in that new year has been used, we will refund the extension in full.
Websites removed for a content breach
If we unpublish or remove a website because its content breaches our terms, that website is not refundable. We email you a notice first, explaining what we found and what happens next.
How to ask for a refund
Email contactus@ourdate.com.au from the address on your account and tell us what you bought and what went wrong. A person in Melbourne reads it. We aim to reply within one business day, and approved refunds reach your card within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.
If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission or Consumer Affairs Victoria.
